Takara Transformers Missing Link D-01 Soundwave

The long-awaited Decepticons join the Missing Link series, the "what-if" revival line that reimagines toys as they might have existed back in the day. Introducing the Decepticon Intelligence Officer, Soundwave.
Soundwave, the fan-favorite character renowned throughout the Transformers series for transforming into a microcassette recorder and deploying his cassette troops from his chest compartment, returns in the Missing Link series. Faithfully preserving the original G1 style, including the same scale and partial die -cast zinc alloy construction, this new edition also features modern articulation for dynamic posing, an all -new transformation mode, and a wealth of premium accessories.
For the first time ever, Scout Robo, a previously unproduced Cassettetron character, is included with a newly engineered design. Appearing in the The Transformers episode "A Prime Problem", Scout Robo was one of the reconnaissance drone-type Cassettetrons assigned to investigate the Colonium Crystal. Despite its appearance in the animated series, the character was never commercialized, making it a long -lost and highly sought-after addition. With this Missing Link release, the final vacancy in the Cassettetron lineup is at last filled.
The Soundwave figure itself recreates several details that were originally represented by stickers through newly sculpted surfaces and painted finishes. Foil stickers are also included for fans who wish to customize the figure. An all-new joint structure enables a much wider range of poses, including kneeling stances and the iconic "eject" pose. In addition, Soundwave can transform into a third mode, the Light Standard Mode, as seen in Episode 1, "More Than Meets the Eye". Resembling a streetlight from Cybertron, this disguise was used to deceive the Autobots.
Accessories include familiar equipment such as the Electric Launcher, Concussion Blaster, and Barrier Case, as well as the headphones, command microphone, and cable that were unique features of the original Japanese release. (The headphones are intended for display purposes only and are not recommended for attachment to the figure's head.)
Both Soundwave and Scout Robo come equipped with a Secret Emblem, revealing their faction insignia when warmed by touch. Each figure also features a display stand compatibility port for use with separately sold stands, allowing for a variety of action-oriented display options.
The package features newly illustrated artwork inspired by the original release, and a collectible character card is also included.
